Freshman with Bogalusa ties reached Arkansas State Meet in 3 events

Jordin Temple, who has ties to Bogalusa, reached the Class 4A Arkansas State Track/Field Meet in three events.
Temple, who is a freshman at Crossett High School, made the state meet in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.
Temples tied for sixth in the high jump at 4-feet, 10 inches with Shiloh Christian School’s Chloe Blessing, Harding Academy’s Claire Citty, Pottsville High School’s Kennedy Corbin, Harding Academy’s Kayson Reeves, Westside Consolidated High School’s Lanie Welch and Ashdown High School’s Cheyenne Arnhart. The tiebreaker is fewest misses, so the order for places 6-12 went Temple, Blessing, City, Corbin, Reeves, Welch and Arnhart. Mena High School’s Elliot Dugan won at 5-3 after tying DeQueen High School’s Belle Lindsey.
Temple was eighth in the long jump at 15-5.25, as Stuttgard High School’s Danyelle Poole won at 17-1.
Temple came in 10th for the triple jump at 32-5.5, as Poole won the title at 36-6.5.
Temple has family who lives in Washington Parish. Her father Rush Temple was the quarterback for Bogalusa. He graduated from Bogalusa in 2003.
