Update: Arrests made in drive-by shooting

According to the Bogalusa Police Department’s Facebook Page, on Thursday, May 18, 2023, a 17 year old juvenile was arrested in relation to the drive-by shooting that occurred on May 10, 2023.

The post says that the juvenile was arrested and booked on the charges of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Assault by Drive-By Shooting, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments.

The juvenile was transported to the Florida Parish Detention Center, the post says.

According to the Bogalusa Police Department’s Facebook Page, on Thursday, May 11, 2023, The Bogalusa Police Department arrested Sincere Craft on charges of of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Assault by Drive-By Shooting, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments.
The post says that on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Jordan Smith Jr was also arrested on charges of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Assault by Drive-By Shooting, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments.
The arrests are a result of an investigation that began on the night of Wednesday, May 10, 2023, after receiving a report of shots being fired in the area of Michigan Avenue, the post said.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Craft, where numerous firearms were seized from the residence, with 2 of them being reported stolen, the post said.
Detectives also executed a search warrant at the residence of Smith, where numerous firearms were seized from the residence, the post said.
This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests regarding this incident will be made, the post said.
