Kevin Paul Tate was born to Geraldine White Tate on Aug. 5, 1964 in Bogalusa, La. He peacefully transitioned in his home on May 13, 2023 in Franklinton, La.

Kevin accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Carl Austin at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness USA.

Kevin completed his education in Washington Parish with a diploma from Franklinton High School. His life journey led him to join the Department of Defense in the branch of the United States Army (Arm Forces) where he served his country for 8 years. He later worked at the Windmill Nursery for many years before retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Terry Brock Tate; one son, Kevin Antjuan James; three daughters, Karimah (Jerry) Stokes, Ebony (Darrian) Brumfield, Shawda Brock; three grandsons, Tyler Magee, Darrian Brumfield, Jr. and DeMario Brumfield; three granddaughters, Cordariah Lee, Aria Stokes and Brynn Stokes; five brothers, Willie (Lilly) Tate, Jr., Brian Tate, Sr., Christopher (Sheryl) Tate, Farrell (Carla) Tate, and Donald Tate; two sisters, Regina (Donald) Marks and Kimberly (William) Griffin; a loving mother-in-law, Minora Brock Warren and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine White Tate, brothers, Gerald Lynn Tate and Kelly Tate, and sister, Pamela Tate Abney.

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness USA with Rev. Terrence August – Officiating; Eld. Kevin Golden – Host Church Pastor. Interment will be held at Sweet Rest Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, La. are in charge of arrangements. Please sign guestbook at www.crainandsons.com.
