Mt. Hermon School’s Shunna Williams came reached the podium in the 200 meters at the Class B State Meet that was held on May 4 at Bernie Moore Track Stadium on the campus of LSU.

Williams, who is a junior, came in third place of the 200 with a time of 26.89, missing out on the state championship by less than two seconds. Doyline’s Izayla Harris won the title after running in 24.93.

This was Williams’ first time at state.
