Cassidy Announces $7.6 Million in Hurricane Laura Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that the Louisiana Office of Risk Management will receive $7,595,651.38 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The funding will be used for permanent repairs to the SOWELA Calcasieu campus as a result of Hurricane Laura.

 

“The damage from Hurricane Laura is still felt throughout Calcasieu and southwest Louisiana,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will aid with the recovery and return to wholeness.”
