On Saturday, April 29, 2023 the Brennan family unveiled the product of a two year massive  preservation and renovation of one of the city’s oldest original businesses. The Coca-Cola bottling Co.  originally opened in 1931 and remained in operation until the mid 1980’s. After its close, it sat mostly  abandoned for over three decades. In 2020, the youngest of the Brennan boys, James, embarked on  what would prove to be a “labor of love”. He wanted to save the old coke plant. The support of his  parents, Bernie and Christie Brennan played an intricate roll and this soon became a family affair. The  Brennans own several businesses and properties in Bogalusa so they are familiar with hard work and  dedication to their city. Shortly after the vision was cast, the work began. Keeping the local economy  stimulated is important to the Brennans and they are prideful in saying that the majority of the work  was contracted locally. After many long, treacherous days of labor the newly renovated 17,000 square  foot wedding and event venue is ready to host unforgettable memories! Officially known as The Coke  Plant Wedding and Event Venue, the space can accommodate both small and large gatherings with  indoor and outdoor options. More information can be found at www.thecokeplant.com

Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong was there to cut the ribbon along with many special friends, family, and various  elected officials. More pictures from the grand opening can be seen on The Coke Plant Wedding and  Event Venue’s Facebook page. The Brennans want to thank the community for the outpouring of  support and love shown to them through the process.
