Stella Louise Morris was born Nov. 19, 1949 to the late L.J. Morris and Lula Mae Sheridan

Morris. She departed this life on April 15, 2023 at the age of 74. After the death of

her mother, she was reared in Varnado by the late Jesse and Lola Sheridan Peters.

At an early age, she united with New Zion M.B. Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. A.

L. Owens and Rev. Dr. Linza R. Cotton. Stella was a faithful member of the Sr. Choir, Usher

Board, and Mission Auxiliary until her health failed. She loved her family and Church family.,

and was a special, loving person to all that she met. We will always treasure her beautiful smile,

which was a permanent part of her personality. When Stella could no longer care for herself,

she was blessed by Shelia Brown, with whom she was reared, who came and moved her to be

cared for by Lucinda Roberts until her death.

Stella will be missed and leaves to cherish her memories, three grandchildren, Robert Morris,

Kenyatta Morris of Poplarville, Miss., and Kierra Jackson of Denham Springs, La.; three

sisters, Loretta Sam of Abita Springs, La., Karen Thomas and Debra Smith both of Varnado, La;

four nieces Katherine Cotton, CoVasha Bridges, Yolanda Peters and Kiana L. Morris; four

nephews, Andre Morris, Jacques Morris, Barry Thomas, and Patrick Thomas, along with a host

of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Godparents, her daughter, Taronda L. Jackson,
