Mt. Hermon High School’s April student of the month is Brandon Stephens. He is the 18-year old son of Donald and Candace Thompson. He is the grandson of Virginia Birch.

Brandon has attended Mt. Hermon since seventh grade. Throughout high school, he has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Brandon has passed two CLEP tests to receive college credit. He placed first at district literary rally for both Environmental Science and World History. He also placed first in his division at the state literary rally for World History. Brandon was voted to be the most likely to succeed by his senior class. Brandon has not participated in many after school events or clubs so that he can focus on his classes. His hobbies include reading and gaming, and he enjoys classes involving science.

Brandon has been accepted into Southeastern Louisiana University, and he plans to get his Bachelor’s of Science in nursing. He plans to eventually become a nurse practitioner or a doctor of nursing practice.
