Willis named Ben’s Ford Christian School’s April Student of the Month

Alyssa Nicole Willis is the daughter of Bruce and Tarrah Willis of Rio. She is the paternal granddaughter of Don Willis and Alison Henke of Rio. She is the maternal granddaughter of Russell and Angela Stewart of Pineville and Annette Williams of Bogalusa. Alyssa has three younger siblings, Bryce, Brayden, and Brody Willis.

Alyssa has attended Ben’s Ford Christian School for 10 years, maintaining a 3.7 GPA throughout her high school career and receiving multiple academic honors, including the Taylor Scholar Award, honor roll, and banner roll. Alyssa is currently the senior class president. She has been a member of the National Beta Club for four years and currently serves as its vice president. She also was elected as National Honor Society president, where she has been a member for two years.

Alyssa has participated in softball since she was five years old and has been a Lady Eagle for five years, filling the position of shortstop. She has also been a participant in the Lady Eagle cheer team for one year. 

She is a current member of Palestine Baptist Church which she has been attending since she was born. She has participated in numerous service projects, including Operation Christmas Child, school supplies drives, teacher appreciation luncheons and senior citizen Thanksgiving dinners.

Alyssa will graduate with 21 dual enrollment credits from Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduation, Alyssa will attend Northwestern State University to major in radiology with a focus in nuclear medicine. Her goal is to become a nuclear medicine technologist in a major hospital.
