Franklinton’s baseball team took a 1-0 series lead on Rayne with an 8-3 victory in the bi-district round of the Division III non select playoffs on the road Thursday.

Elisha Hart singled and drove in two runs.
Tryson Fowler singled and scored a run.
Micah Wascom scored three runs, while Cade Phillips drove in a run and Dillon Pace scored a run.
Turner pitched a complete game allowing one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
The teams will play game 2, and if necessary, game 3 on April 22 at Rayne. The winner of the series faces third-seeded Assumption.
