Lavigne ties 2 others for 1st at Pinewood

Franklinton’s Kade Lavigne tied Belle Chasse’s Jeff Drury and Ethan Young for first place in the final week of the Northlake Golf League that was held on Monday at Pinewood Country Club.

All three players posted a 79 for the top spot in a field of 17.

Belle Chasse’s Cedric Harris posted an 84 for fourth place with Loranger’s Niles Willie rounding out the top five at 89.

Two more Franklinton golfers competed, as Emerson Henn carded a 102 and Nick Schilling posted a 104.

Belle Chasse won the team competition with three teams qualifying for team honors.

Loranger was second, followed by Lakeshore.

Three girls competed.

Salmen’s Kayla McDermott won with a 106.

Lakeshore teammates Palmer Delsa and Amelia Sivard were second and third with a 114 and a 126.

Franklinton’s next competition will be on April 17 in the district tournament at Bayou Oaks North in New Orleans’ City Park.
