Bowling Green Powerlifting Meet/Crawfish Boil
Bowling Green is hosting a powerlifting meet in conjunction with their crawfish boil on April 22.
Boys and girls attending MAIS schools and individuals are welcome to attend.
This meet is an open meet.
Weigh-in is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the first lift is at 9:30 a.m.
The cost is $10 per lifter.
There will be three platforms and the meet will have judges.
The deadline to sign up for powerlifting is April 14.

The crawfish boil competition entry fee is $300 per team until April 1 and $350 until the deadline of April 14.
This includes a space to cook, a sack of crawfish and four wristbands.
Checks can be made payable to Bowling Green ABC Club. The form can be turned into the office at Bowling Green School or given to Mindy Hollywood.
The cost to attend the crawfish boil for those who are not competing is $25 all you can eat (RSVP) or $35 at the gate.

Sports Work Academy is June 17
The 16th annual Sports Work Academy Basketball Camp will be held on June 17 at the Bogalusa YMCA.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the camp fee is $20. The camp starts at 9 a.m.
So far, this year’s guest coach is O’Brian Callahan, who owns the organization called Only Basketball Elite. There may be coaches and speakers added before the day of the camp.
The rest of the coaches are 1981 Bogalusa High School graduate Murrell Galloway and co-Camp Director Nikita Wilson.

Bogalusa Little League Baseball looking for volunteers
Bogalusa Little League Baseball is looking for volunteers for the 2023 season.
They are looking for volunteers in all areas like coaching umpiring, bookkeeping, grounds crew and concession stand workers.
