Sarah Elisabeth Byrd is the daughter of Joel and Paula Byrd. She has attended Bowling
Green School for the past eight years. Sarah Beth is a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Covington.
Sarah has taken multiple Dual Enrollment courses through Southeast Louisiana University, and she will graduate with 15 hours of DE credit. She currently maintains a 4.08 GPA. She has earned numerous banner roll and honor roll awards as well as the Taylor Scholar award for several years. Sarah Beth was selected to attend literary rally in IBCA her freshman year and qualified for state and this year was selected to attend in World History. Sarah Beth was also the Heisman High School Scholarship winner for BGS in 2022, and she was recently voted Best Dressed by her peers.
Sarah Beth has been a four year member of the following clubs: Mu Alpha Theta where she currently serves as Secretary, Senior Beta where she serves as the Event Coordinator, Interact where she serves as the Secretary, and Student Council where she serves as the Class Representative. Sarah Beth has been an active member of the Buccanettes Dance Team for three years and the Lady Buc softball team for one year. She was awarded the Buccaneer award for softball for 2022-2023. Sarah was selected as an MAIS All-Star dancer for the 2022-23 school year and in November she marched and danced in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
Following graduation Sarah Beth plans to attend the University of Mississippi and pursue a medical degree in radiology.
