Franklinton’s baseball team captured an 11-1 victory over Salmen in a District 8-4A contest held on Wednesday at home.

Franklinton scored five runs in both the first and third innings before adding another in the fourth before Salmen posted a run in the fifth.

Will Turner singled twice, drove in two runs scored a run.

Micah Wascom posted a hit with two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Banyan Penton tallied a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Cade Phillips singled and scored two runs.

De’Ron Sincero singled and drove in a run.

Elisha Hart and Dylan Stafford both scored a run, while Rickken Burkhalter drove in a run.

Winning pitcher Dillon Pace pitched four shutout innings, allowing one hit with five strikeouts and a walk.

Franklinton’s next game will be on March 31 against Salmen on the road.
