Christopher “Blake” Lloyd, 39, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, La. passed away on March 21, 2023, at University Hospital in New Orleans. Blake was born on August 17, 1983, in Bogalusa, La. where he was raised and resided his entire life and was a graduate of Bogalusa High School Class of 2001.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish, and scuba dive which he learned from his father at a very young age.

 

Blake is survived by his parents, Chris and Sandy Lloyd; his son, Noah Lloyd; and his sister, Amanda Lloyd.  He is also survived by a special friend, Shanda Moore.

 

Blake was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dan and Dorothy Milton; maternal grandparents, Willard and Birdie Don Denham; and his uncle, Larry Lloyd.

 

A visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Hillview Memorial Gardens on Spring Valley Road in Bogalusa, La. the Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate the services.

 

Blake will be greatly missed by those who loved him and truly knew him.  His last act on earth, he gave the gift of life to others through organ and tissue donation through the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA).

 

Blake’s family request in lieu of flowers that donation be made to the Washington Parish Humane Society.
