Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Holston takes 2nd in 2 events

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Jonah Holston came in second in two events at the 2023 Silliman Curry Relays that were held on March 16.
Holston was second in the 200 meters and the long jump. He ran the 200 in 26.32 seconds and long jumped 17 feet, 2 inches. Caden Tervelon was third in the 200 at 34.53. SIlliman Institute’s Cole Wiklinson ran the event in 24.99 to win, while Silliman Institute’s Colby Morris won the long jump at 18-5.
Ben’s Ford Christian School was the only local team in the meet.
Caleb Mathews and Holston ran third and fourth in the 100 with times of 12.71 and 12.78. Centreville Academy’s Garrett Jeansonne won in 11.93.
Jacob Robichaux came in third in the 300 hurdles and the triple jump. Robichaux ran the hurdles in 57.77 and triple jumped 29-0. Mathews was sixth in the discus with a throw of 93-0.5. Silliman Institute’s Colt Bergeron won the 300 hurdles in 44.73 and teammate Rhyder Stafford won the triple jump at 34-10.5.
Caden Pajak was third in the discus at 105-7 and Mathews came in sixth at 93-0.5. Centreville Academy’s Zaret Garcia won at 117-3.
Mathews was fourth in the 800 with a time of 2 minutes, 22 seconds. Prairie View Academy’s Jayce Winbish won in 2:11.
Pajak and Jonus McNabb were fifth and sixth in the shot put with distances of 35-2 and 24-5.5. Centreville Academy’s Kade Arnold won at 39-10.
Robichaux and Caden Tervalon ran sixth and seventh in the 400 with times of 1:07 and 1:08. Silliman Institute’s Cody Watson won in 55.56.
