Washington Art Association show sale set Sunday, March 26 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Local and area artists are busy finishing up their latest creations for the Washington (Parish) Art Association big group art show and sale, to he held on Sunday, March 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The show will once again be at the home of Sara Nelson, 28035 Winfred Bateman Road, across from Sherman’s store in Clifton.

“We are hoping for good attendance again this year,” said Ann Warner, co-chairman of the show with Nelson. “Last year was the most successful year to date with the fine quality of art and attendance.

“This is a lovely event where we share art and the artists with the community. It is a cultural time as well as an opportunity for artists to show and sell their work,” she added. 

According to the chairmen, everyone is invited to attend and enjoy refreshments. There is no admission charge. Just come and see the lovely work of local artists.

For artists, artwork will be accepted on Wednesday, March 23, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Nelson house. Wednesday afternoon is the deadline for bringing artwork.

Sprehe, Lander Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Ellen Barrett, Sylvia Garret Dugas, Bob Ann Breland, Donna Kilbourne, Shelia Fortenberry, Lora Lyn Fendlason and Johnny Green.
