Ben’s Ford Christian School’s girls basketball team moved on in the South State Tournament with a 40-36 victory over Claiborne Academy in the first round of the event on Tuesday at Wilkinson County Christian Academy.

Ashlyn Dantin and Abby Descant both scored 11 points to lead Ben’s Ford.

Laci Branch tallied seven.

Gracie Willis posted six.

Maddie WIllis and Avery Dantin both had two.

Noel Martin logged one.

Ben’s Ford will play in the second round of the tournament on Friday at 4 p.m. at WCCA against Tallulah Academy.
