Varnado’s Tyriq Bell hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, sending the Wildcats to a 56-55 victory over West St. John in a District 10-1A contest at home on Tuesday.

Bell tallied nine points.

Varnado trailed by 15 at halftime.

Jamari Lewis led Varnado with 24 points.

Chase Lewis recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Quentin Maye posted seven.

Varnado’s next game will be on Feb. 3 against East Iberville at home.
