Erma L. Daniels Newton Muse was born on June 26, 1929, in Silver Creek Miss. She united in Holy matrimony to Mr. James Newton and moved to Bogalusa, La., and to this union, nine children were born. Mrs. Erma was a member of the St. John Temple of Bogalusa, until her health prevented her from attending services. Mrs Erma was a loving honest person who loved God. Her saying was “God is good all the time.” She would always say treat people the way you want to be treated. At an early age she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. Mrs. Erma departed this life on Jan. 30, 2023 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Muse; father: Julius Daniels; mother: Anis Pittman; three brothers: Jerry Daniels, Frank Daniels and Ardell Daniels; six sisters: Mary Neil Daniels, Evon White, Laura Bell Penton, Shirley Taylor, Bessie Collins and Audrey Daniels.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son: James Newton of Bogalusa, La., five daughters: Jewel Adams of Columbus Ohio., Ruby Williams of Shreveport, La., Frances Newton of New Brunswick N.J., Stacy (Willie) Crawford of Columbus Ohio., Gloria (Darryl) Peters of Bogalusa, La.; two sisters: Eileen Daniels, of Prentis, Miss., and Margie Daniels of New Hebron Miss., 19 grandchildren, 54 great, great grandchildren, eight great, great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11 .a.m followed by service at 11 a.m. at Kingdom of God, Pastor Kedon Grant officiating. Entombment is at Shady Grove, Osyka. Miss. Crain and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements. Please sign guestbook at www.crainandsons.com
