According to a Facebook post by the Bogalusa Police Department, as the investigation continued, detectives and officers with the Bogalusa Police Department established probable cause in the matter, which led to the arrest of Quinton L Porter on the following charges:

Charges:  Attempted Second Degree Murder

              Illegal Use of Dangerous Weapons / Instrumentalities

               Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

The post says that this Investigation remains ongoing.

On January 27, 2023 @ 2350 hours Officers received a call in reference to a gunshot victim located at 1015 Union Ave (Union Point Apartments), the post said.

The post said that upon Officers arrival they observed a Black Male in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The post says that the subject had a single gunshot wound to the head, but was still alive. The post says that he was transported to the Our Lady of the Angels hospital and was listed in critical condition.
