Lady Demons Soccer came up short in a 3-0 contest vs Cabrini on Monday evening.

Susan Bradford had 19 blocks.

“We played our best Defensive game of the year,” Franklinton coach Matthew Hughes said. “They were playing a high defensive line and were able to squeeze the ball to our half quite a bit. That being said, I have seen us grow so much defensively over the past week or so. I’ve seen us finally learn to position ourselves correctly and set ourselves up with the proper marking leverage.”

Hughes said that offensively, they made some adjustments at halftime that were effective.

“We had a few opportunities in the second half,” Hughes said. “We just couldn’t quite get them to go. Such is life. I’ll live with that. I like where we are in terms of moving forward with this program. I look forward to finishing this season strong over the next few days.”

Franklinton wraps up the regular season on Jan. 26 against Plaquemine at home.
