Bogalusa Rebirth Awarded Second Capital One Impact Grant Capital One Homebuyer Assistance Fund

Bogalusa Rebirth was awarded additional community support from Capital One in the amount of $18,000. Combined with the initial grant awarded in 2021 of $18,000 brings the Capital One Impact Grant total to $36,000. Funds have been utilized to increase the homebuyer applicant pool, homebuyer consulting and training and will include direct homebuyer assistance this year.

“At Capital One we believe strongly in building the communities where we live and work.,” said Tayanna Teel, Community Affairs at Capital One.

Bogalusa Rebirth Board Chairman R.L. Palmer Jr. commented, “It is partners like Capital One that bring our goals into reality. We are thankful for Capital One stepping up as our community financial trust partner.”

Bogalusa Rebirth is a certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) working in partnership with Louisiana Housing Corporation to utilize HUD HOME funds to build and sell homeownership units to homebuyers earning less than 80% area median income in Bogalusa.
