Patsy Ruth Foster Fornea, age 86, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023. Patsy was born in Bogalusa, La. on May 19, 1936. She was an employee of the Charity Hospital for several years. Patsy was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed singing in the choir and was active in all church activities.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Monica (Irvin) Boudreaux and her son, Stan (Belinda) Fornea; her four grandchildren, Jeremy Boudreaux, Sara Boudreaux, Benjamin Fornea and Brooke Fornea; and five great grandchildren, Alex and Jacob Boudreaux, Emma Boudreaux, Hannah Modica, and Takoda Fornea. She is also survived by two brothers, Gary and Steve Foster.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Iddo Fornea; her mother, Vivian Foster; her father, Tommy Foster; and also, her two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023 at Highland Baptist Church from 1:30 p.m. until time for the services at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Dennis Allen will officiate the service. Interment to follow at Old Fornea Cemetery in Varnado, La.
