Alvin Theron Richardson Jr., 70, a Bogalusa native, passed away at his residence in Slaughter, La. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022.

He was born in Bogalusa to the late Alvin T. and Gercia L. Richardson on Dec. 30, 1951.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Richardson of Slaughter, La.; one daughter: Kimberly R. Gross; grandson: Leron M. Gross of Baton Rouge, La.; mother: Gercia L. Richardson; one sister: Terria R. Boyd of Bogalusa, La.; four brothers: Rodney Richardson of Gonzales, La., Russel Richardson of Houma, La., Benjamin (Sharon) Richardson and Vernon (Ora) Richardson of New Iberia, La.; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Alvin Sr.; two brothers: William J. and Sterling K. Richardson; paternal grandparents: William Sr. and Isabel Richardson; maternal grandparents: T.J. Lewis and Mattie H. Lewis.

A memorial service will be held in person on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 24120 La-19, Slaughter, LA 70777.
