Locals headed to the all-star game

Three local players are all stars.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Nate Descant, Jonah Holston and Bowling Green School’s Josiah Miller have made the MAIS All-Star Games that are set for Dec. 2.
This season, Descant caught 10 passes for 217 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran for a score.
Holston made 27 catches for 528 yards and eight touchdowns. He also ran 34 times for 333 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Holston recorded 20 tackles with 15 being solos, 1.5 for a loss and he broke up 10 passes. Holston also intercepted a pass and returned it 96 yards for a touchdown. Holston also forced a fumble.
Miller ran 217 times for 1,757 yards and 12 touchdowns for Bowling Green School.
There are two all-star games. There is a Class 1A through 3A contest and a Class 4A to 6A game.
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s players are in the 1A through 3A game, which kicks off at 3 p.m.
Bowling Green School’s players are in the Class 4A to 6A game and that starts at 6 p.m.
The all-star games will take place at Jackson Preparatory School.
