Linda Bernice Thomas, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, in Mandeville, at the age of 79. Linda was born on Jan. 26, 1943, to the late Rev. Wiley and Minnie Mae Madden. She was the former owner and operator of Travis Grocery and Country Super Store.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Karon Thomas; two grandsons, Craig Hartzog and Daren Garner; and three granddaughters, Aimee Cleland, Leigh Anna Bunn and Niki Sheridan. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Thomas; her parents, the Rev. Wiley and Minnie Madden; one sister, Leatha Madden Stockstill; two brothers, Jerry Madden and Butch Madden; two daughters, Cathy Thomas and Teresa Thomas; two grandchildren, Angie Knight and Amber Knight; and a great-grandchild, Angel Knight.

A graveside service was held Friday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at Ponemah Cemetery, with Rusty Stockstill officiating the services.
