Jenell Forbes Dillon, 91, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 4, 2022, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She worked at Finch’s Flowers in Franklinton for 33 years and continued her love for flowers throughout the rest of her life. Jenell also worked at West Brothers clothing store in Franklinton and the box and bag factory in Bogalusa for a time. She was a member of Cornerstone Church that loved quilting, sewing and reading in her spare time. Jenell was always quick to pick with her family when she needed help. “Houston, we have a problem!”

She is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, Dennie and Verda L. Dillon of Isabel; grandchildren and spouses, Tina and Ralph McKean of St. Francisville, Staci and Eddie Bergeron of Franklinton, and Nancy Lea Dillon of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; great-grandchildren and spouses, Kaylie and James Whittington, Chuck Jenkins and Ariana McKenzie, Jordan Bergeron and Danny DeBeer, John Michael and Katie Adams, and Gavin and Hannah Adams; great-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Whittington, Anabelle Whittington, Taysom Whittington, Tori McKenzie, Eli Jenkins, Brady Joe Jenkins, Branttlee Adams, Brodee Adams and Bronc Adams; brothers, William E. Forbes of Pine, and Walton W. Forbes of Tylertown, Miss.; sisters-in-law, Clara Forbes and Sylvia Forbes; special former co-workers and friends, Betty Brooks, Katherine Broadway and Robert Stafford; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Calecas; husband, John C. Dillon; parents, Reacie Forbes and Lillie Mae Dillon Forbes; a sister, Mary Cutrer; brothers, John Forbes, Charles Forbes, Richard Forbes and Robert Forbes; and other family members.

The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Terri Hart for her 10 years of dedicated and loving care to Jenell.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 7, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A graveside funeral service was held in the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, with the Rev. Leon Hickman officiating.

Pallbearers were Devin Castleberry, Mitchell Castleberry, Tony Forbes, Timmy Forbes, Greg Forbes, Richard Barnhill and Chuck Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers were James Whittington and Eddie Bergeron Jr.
