Greater Salter Chapel A.M.E. Church

Salter Chapel A.M.E. Church, located at 920 Dan St. in Bogalusa, cordially invites the community to join them on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. as the church celebrates its pastor, the Rev. Debra Branch’s pastoral appreciation. Presiding Elder Rev. Ray Jackson will be the guest speaker. Lunch will be served after the morning service.

Sweet Beulah Baptist Church

The Sweet Beulah Baptist Church youth department will hold its youth service on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 11:15 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Andryl Spikes. The public is cordially invited.

ESM United Methodist Church

ESM United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for the following activities. Sunday activities: Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. The youth will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday activities include a prayer meeting at 5 p.m. and Bible study at 5:30 p.m. Trunk-R-Treat will be on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the church grounds. Come in costume or come participate with your own vehicle. United Methodist Women will meet on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall — all women are invited to attend. The men’s breakfast will be Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8 a.m. in the Family Life Center. All men are invited.

Calvary Christian Fellowship

• Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F in Bogalusa, will have a special service Sunday, Oct. 30. The special guest speaker will be Missionary Wayne Huffman, who is the senior director of intercultural ministries for the Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and after the service there will be a time of fellowship with pot luck lunch in the educational building. Pastor Larry Lassley and the congregation invite the public to attend.
• Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F. in Bogalusa, is having Sunday morning services in house at 10:30 a.m., and welcomes the public to come worship. If you can’t make the service on Sunday morning, then you can watch it live streaming on Pastor Larry Lassley’s Facebook page. You can also watch on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on live streaming. Pastor Larry Lassley and the congregation of Calvary Christian Fellowship invite you to come.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church

Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 64115 Jones Creek Road in Varnado, is currently seeking an experienced full time or part time musician. The church’s worship service begins at 11 a.m. every Sunday. The Church of God of Prophecy

Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church

• The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church will be hosting a Faith and Finance Seminar starting Thursday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m. The topics that will be covered during the seminar will consist of planning for retirement, money management, dealing with debt, saving, and budgeting. This seminar will be of particular interest to young men and women wanting to plan for their future. The seminar is free and participants will receive a participants’ workbook for their personal use.
