Early voting for the Tuesday, Nov. 8, general election will begin next week.

Early voting opens Tuesday, Oct. 25, and will continue through Tuesday, Nov. 1, excluding Sunday, Oct. 30. It will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.

In Washington Parish, there are two early voting locations — Northshore Technical Community College at 1710 Sullivan Drive in Bogalusa, and the Washington Parish Courthouse at 900 Washington St. in Franklinton.

Voters headed to the polls should take one of the following with them: a driver’s license, a Louisiana Special ID, LA Wallet digital driver’s license, a United States military identification card that contains the applicant’s name and picture, or some other generally recognized picture ID that contains the applicant’s name and signature.

Voters who have no picture ID may complete and sign a Voter Identification Affidavit in order to vote. However, it is subject to challenge by law.

In addition to state and local races, Washington Parish voters will also decide on eight proposed amendments to the state constitution.
