To serve, to follow, to live a Christian life, a faithful soldier marches with reverence for man and God.

On the evening of Sept. 18, 2022, the Lord called Mr. Johnny L. Dillon home.

Johnny was well known and respected member of his community. He was a faithful church member and also a deacon at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Johnny always had a smile on his face, everywhere you saw him. He always had a helping hand for anything that needed to be done. He will be greatly missed from his community and his family.

Mr. Johnny L. Dillon leaves to cherish his wonderful memories to his two sons, Andrelique (Toni) Dural and Roynes (Bull) Dural; three daughters, Marion Dural, La’Rhonde St. Amont and Danielle Williams; three sisters, Kay Pouncey and Audrey Williams, both of Covington; Betty Johnson of Lafayette; three brothers, Johnny H. Dillon, Lionell Dillon of Covington, and Charles Johnson of Houston, Texas; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Dillon; his parents, Aleyre Summer and Hilton Dillon Sr.; his daughter, Shondrika Whittine; Hillen Dillon Jr., Rose White, Linus Riles, Robert Earl and Michael.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 30, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. A family hour will be held from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Cook-Richmond Chapel. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, where the Rev. Christopher Matthews will be officiating. Interment will be in Bogalusa Cemetery.
