Love on Bogalusa

“Love on Bogalusa” will be held from Sept. 29-Oct. 1. It is a project involving churches and individuals, in and around Bogalusa and other parts of the United States, to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every home in Bogalusa in a two-day period. There will be people openly witnessing and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ around our city on these three days. The public is invited to attend a celebration in Cassidy Park on Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon until 5 p.m. There will be free food, face painting, air-up slides and bouncies for the kids, drive-thru prayer, open-air music, singing and preaching available to all in attendance that day. New Triumph Baptist Church

New Triumph Baptist Church invites the public to attend the church’s 76th-year anniversary, on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. The anniversary guest evangelist will be the Rev. Gary Brumfield, pastor of Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church in Magnolia, Miss. Anniversary services will be followed by a three-night revival. The evangelist for these services will be the Rev. Bobby Showers Jr., pastor of Community Baptist Church of Fluker. The services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly.

Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church

Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church will begin its fall revival on Monday, Oct. 3. Elder Wade Bush will be the guest evangelist, with services beginning at 7 p.m. Pastor Tommy Hudnall and the church invite all to attend.

Sun United Methodist Church

The Sun United Methodist Church is having an indoor/outdoor yard sale Friday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. until noon. Contact Joyce Corse at 985-516-9045 for more information.

ESM United Methodist Church

ESM United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for the following activities. Sunday activities: Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. Youth meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday activities include a prayer meeting at 5 p.m. and Bible study (“Why Methodist”) at 5:30 p.m. UMW will meet on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All women are invited to attend. The men’s breakfast will be Sunday, Oct. 16, at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All men are invited to attend.

The Church of God of Prophecy

The Church of God of Prophecy would like to extend a warm welcome for everyone to come out to services on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. and every second and fourth Sunday at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1610 Greenlaw St. in Franklinton. For more information, call 985-549-0880 or 985-974-4461.

Annunciation Catholic Church

Annunciation Catholic Church will be praying the Rosary every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the church. Prior to the recitation of the Rosary, the group will also pray the beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet. As noted, these prayers will be held in the church, and not the chapel as in the past. Everyone is invited to come and pray the Rosary for peace in the world and for personal intentions.

Love Outreach Family Worship

The Love Outreach Family Worship Church is distributing USDA “Food for Families” food boxes to Bogalusa and the surrounding area. Distribution will be every Wednesday at various locations. For more information, call 985-294-4587.

Calvary Christian Fellowship

Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F. in Bogalusa, is having Sunday morning services in house at 10:30 a.m., and welcomes the public to come worship. If you can’t make the service on Sunday morning, then you can watch it live streaming on Pastor Larry Lassley’s Facebook page. You can also watch on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on live streaming. Pastor Larry Lassley and the congregation of Calvary Christian Fellowship invite you to come.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

Children’s Sunday School and Pastor Joe Arthur’s Adult Bible class each begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday service starts at 10:30 a.m. with Divine Worship celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday. New Bethel Church

Every week is full of activity at New Bethel Church, located at 737 Ave. F in Bogalusa. Monday at 6:30 p.m. is a Small Group Class on Prayer by Sister Mary. Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. is Wild Ones Youth Night. Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. is a Leadership and Prayer Meeting, and at 6:30 p.m. is Worship and Teaching. Thursday at 6:30 p.m. is Celebrate Recovery. Friday at 6 p.m. is Chosen Movie Night. Saturday at 6 p.m. is Karaoke Night, and Sunday at 11 a.m. is the Sunday Morning Service.

Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church

The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay.
