Varnado was defeated by Northlake Christian School, 35-6, in a game that was held on Friday.

“They were a lot more physical than we were,” Varnado coach Adam Brumfield said. “We had multiple kids go out with injuries that were two-way starters  and had a few more get hurt so that’s hard for us to recover from. We have to find a way to get healthy. We also need to practice better in order to play better. It’s hard to play better when you don’t have everyone at practice.”

Varnado went to 0-3, while Northlake Christian School is 2-1.

Varnado will play again on Friday against Jefferson Rise Charter in a home game.

Jefferson Rise Charter is also 0-3.

They were defeated by Abramson, 36-30, last week.
