Love on Bogalusa

“Love on Bogalusa” will be held from Sept. 29-Oct. 1. It is a project involving churches and individuals, in and around Bogalusa and other parts of the United States, to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every home in Bogalusa in a two-day period. There will be people openly witnessing and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ around our city on these three days. The public is invited to attend a celebration in Cassidy Park on Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon until 5 p.m. There will be free food, face painting, air-up slides and bouncies for the kids, drive-thru prayer, open-air music, singing and preaching available to all in attendance that day. Mary’s Chapel U.M. Church

The pastor and members of Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 63343 Jones Creek Road in Varnado, cordially invite everyone to their 115th church anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. The speaker will be the church pastor, the Rev. Terrence August.

ESM United Methodist Church

ESM United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for the following activities. Sunday activities: Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. Youth meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday activities, beginning Sept. 21, include a prayer meeting at 5 p.m. and Bible study at 5:30 p.m. The men’s breakfast will be Sunday, Sept. 18, at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All men are invited. UMW will meet on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All women are invited to attend.

Briarwood Baptist Church

Briarwood Baptist Church, located at 32461 Louisiana Highway 62 in the Stateline community, will hold revival services Sunday, Sept. 18, through Wednesday, Sept. 21, with the Rev. Gary Bowlin of Summit, Miss., as the evangelist. Everyone is invited to attend the services, according to the Rev. Eddie Henson, pastor. On Sunday, regular services are at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. From Monday to Wednesday, services will be at 6 p.m.

Seventh-day Adventist Church

The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay. The Church of God of Prophecy

Annunciation Catholic Church

Annunciation Catholic Church will be praying the Rosary every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the church. Prior to the recitation of the Rosary, the group will also pray the beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet. As noted, these prayers will be held in the church, and not the chapel as in the past.

Love Outreach Family Worship

The Love Outreach Family Worship Church is distributing USDA “Food for Families” food boxes to Bogalusa and the surrounding area. Distribution will be every Wednesday at various locations. For more information, call 985-294-4587.

Calvary Christian Fellowship

Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F. in Bogalusa, is having Sunday morning services in house at 10:30 a.m., and welcomes the public to come worship. If you can’t make the service on Sunday morning, then you can watch it live streaming on Pastor Larry Lassley’s Facebook page. You can also watch on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on live streaming.
