Emmitt Darnell Warren was born Jan. 6, 1985, to the union of Kathy Warren and Emmitt Cain Sr. He departed this life Aug. 18, 2022, in Bogalusa.

Emmitt was a graduate of Pine High School in 2003. During his years at Pine, he was named MVP of the basketball team, which was his favorite sport. His proudest moment in life is when he became a father.

Emmitt’s memories will forever be cherished by his daughter, Sereniti; his parents, Kathy and Emmitt Sr.; two brothers, Derrick and Tawon; two sisters, Temisha and Shonti; his grandmother, LeeAlice; great-grandmother, Emma Walker; his special friends, Jamal Tucker and James Dillon; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Emmitt was preceded in death by his lifetime friend, Amber; and his grandparents, Vergie and Leroy Warren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A service will be held at 11 a.m. at Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Hackley, with the Rev. Jerome Warren, pastor, officiating. Internment will be at Greater Hayes Cemetery.
