Bowling Green softball off to a 5-2 start

Bowling Green School’s softball team is off to a 5-2 start this season.

On July 29, Bowling Green was victorious over Adams County Christian School, 16-6, in six innings.

Katherine Burris doubled, drove in three runs and scored a run.

Alexa Bulloch posted two hits, including a triple, with a run batted in and four runs scored.

Peyton Miller recorded two hits with three runs batted in and a run scored.

Addyson Soileau went 2-for-2 with a run batted in.

Elizabeth Wilkinson singled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Hallie Serigne singled and scored two runs.

Jaylee Smith scored two runs, while Laken Culpepper scored a run and drove one home and  Madison Thomas, Grace Savarese and Haley Preston all scored a run.

The next day was a 4-3 loss to Copiah Educational Foundation in the Simpson Academy Tournament.

Serigne singled, scored a run and drove in one.

Kylee Creel doubled and drove in a run.

Wilkinson singled and drove in a run.

Burris and Soileau both singled.

Thomas and Preston both scored a run.

On Aug. 1, Bowling Green scored five runs in the seventh for a walk-off, 14-13, win over Presbyterian Christian School.

Burris doubled, tripled, drove in three runs and scored four runs.

Wilkinson singled twice, drove in a run and scored three runs.

Serigne had two hits with three RBIs and a run scored.

Aubrie Galloway singled and drove in a run.

Soileau singled.

Bulloch scored two runs and scored a run, while Smith tallied two runs, Thomas had an RBI, Dara Harvard scored a run and drove in a run and Savarese scored a run.

On Aug. 6, Bowling Green defeated Central Hinds Academy, 8-7, in the Copiah Educational Foundation Tournament.

Burris singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Serigne had two hits that included a double and two runs scored.

Soileau singled and drove in a run.

Thomas scored a run and recorded an RBI, while Wilkinson scored a run and drove in two runs and Bulloch and Preston both scored a run.

On Monday, Bowling Green was defeated by Amite School Center, 10-0, on the road in five innings.

Bowling Green won against Lamar Christian School, 7-5, the next day, in a home game.

Burris singled twice, drove in a run and scored a run.

Serigne singled, scored a run and had an RBI.

Wilkinson singled twice and scored two runs.

Creel doubled, scored a run and drove in two.

Bulloch singled and scored a run.

Harvard scored a run and drove in a run, while Soileau had an RBI.

On Thursday, Bowling Green won against Adams County Christian School, 13-8.

Burris tallied three hits and four runs scored.

Creel posted two hits and a run scored.

Bulloch singled, drove in four runs and scored a run.

Soileau singled and drove in three runs.

Wilkinson singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored three runs.

Thomas singled and drove in two runs.

Serigne singled with an RBI and a run scored.

Savarese singled and scored a run.

Harvard posted a hit.

Smith scored two runs.

Bowling Green School’s next game will be on Aug. 13 in the Amite School Center Tournament.
