District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on Wednesday, a Washington Parish grand jury indicted Shannon Brady Polkey, 53, of Franklinton, of two counts of first-degree rape victim under 13, one count of sexual battery victim under 13, and one count of failure to register as a sex offender.

Polkey was convicted of forcible rape in 1987 in Washington Parish and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He did not register as a sex offender in Louisiana as required by law.

Montgomery said he wished to thank Detective Corbet Hunt with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, who investigated the case.

Assistant District Attorney Ysonde Boland presented the case to the grand jury.
