Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Henry Myers, better known as “Twin,” was born in Bogalusa on March 23, 1951. He and his brother were the first set of identical twins born at Washington St. Tammany Charity Hospital. Henry was the son of the late Mrs. Beatrice Foster Myers and the late F. D. Myers Sr.

He attended Central Memorial High School, where he played jokes on the teachers; if he had to take a test, he would send his brother to take the test for him, and no one ever knew it.

Henry fought a long battle with cancer; on March 30, 2022, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was also baptized that same day.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his beloved wife, Darlean Myers; three sons, Hendrick Myers, Desler Myers and Kemal Myers; one sister, Shirley (Cleophus) Guy; one brother, Denver (Stephanie) Myers; one aunt, Mrs. Azzie L. Woullard of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two special friends, Caprice Dyson and Jackie Mark; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ahquirea Mangrum, and his parents, Mr. F. D. Myers and Mrs. Beatrice Foster Myers.

Drive-through viewing will be Friday, Aug. 12, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa.
