Bowling Green School’s softball team will open the 2022 season on Friday.

“Looking forward to it,” Bowling Green School coach David Hood Burris said. “We will have a very young group with a lot of inexperience, but they have some talent. We will play a lot of eighth and ninth graders. Excited to watch them grow as the season progresses.”
Last year, the Lady Buccaneers made it to the South State Tournament, but were defeated in their first two games with losses to Copiah Educational Foundation and Adams County Christian Academy.

The game on Friday for Bowling Green will be at home, which will begin a busy first week.

On Saturday, Bowling Green will compete in the Simpson Academy Tournament at Magee.

After Saturday, Bowling Green will play Presbyterian Christian School on Monday at home and Centreville on the road on Aug. 4. They will cap off next week by going to the Copiah Tournament.
