Patti Wascom, NP, gastroenterology, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, became the first provider to receive the Franciscan Service Award this year.

In nominating Wascom, her peers called her trustworthy, approachable and authentic.

They highlighted the exceptional, compassionate care she provides to her patients and the excellent mentorship she offers her colleagues.
