“For now I’m ready to be offered, and the time of departure is at hand.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that also love his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

Glen Ora Moses Jefferson was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Bogalusa, to the late William Moses and Ora Lee Keys. She departed this life on July 9, 2022, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Moses and Ora Lee Keys; her husband, Allen S. Henry Jr.; one son, Marvin Aaron Jefferson Jr.; four brothers, Oscar Lee Moses, Melvin Moses, Alfred Moses and Victor Keys; and three sisters, Margie Lee Johnson, Lucille Nichols and Jacqueline Keys.

She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, James (Sarah) Jefferson of Varnado, LaTonya (Charles) Gueary of Baton Rouge, Tarmecia (Jerome) Jolla of Geismar, Pelissa McClindon of Baton Rouge, and Tywonda Jefferson of Bogalusa; 10 grandchildren, Jamelia Jefferson, DeMarkus Jefferson, Jayla Jefferson, Aaron Forrest, Nicole Jolla, Lauren Jolla, Lawrence Jolla, Kayla McClindon, JaKadis Jefferson and Tymus Jefferson; three honorary grandchildren, Reuben Tron Joiner, Charles D. Gueary and Asia Smith; two great-grandchildren, Mi’Kashia McClindon and Camaya Hunter; one brother, Raymond Keys Sr. (Gloria) of Baker; three sisters, Mary L. Keeton of Moss Point, Miss., Joyce Smith of Bogalusa, and Mary Ann Keys Jordan of Bogalusa; a special sister-in-law, Ossliean Moses; and special family friend, Tene’ Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives.

Visitation will be Friday, July 22, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 23, for 11 a.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Linza Cotton will be officiating. Interment will be in Robinson Cemetery.
