Sweet Rest Baptist Church

There will be Vacation Bible School at Sweet Rest Baptist Church in Franklinton on Wednesday, July 20, through Friday, July 22, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a picnic on Saturday, July 23. For further information, contact Bro. Brian Dillon, Ms. Ciji Marks or Deacon Greg Route. The pastor is Rev. Norbert Hills Jr.

Centenary United Methodist Church

There will be a chicken barbecue dinner sponsored by the Mission Team of Centenary United Methodist Church of Franklinton, on Friday, July 22, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per plate. Just drive by the farmers’ market to pick up and pay for the dinner. Donations will be used for missions for the rest of 2022. Bethlehem Baptist Church

Pastor Christopher Matthews and the Bethlehem Baptist Church invite the community youth to its sixth annual “Ready-Set Back 2 School Summer Fest.” The event is given to assist the youth, pre-K through 12th grade, with free school supplies for the coming 2022-23 school session. The fun activity is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Church Family Life Center. All pre-registered youth will have backpacks tagged to avoid a line to receive their supplies. Youth are asked to pre-register to ensure safety and adequate supplies, or they may choose to register on-site. There will be empowering speakers, music with DJ AP from Leesville, and a variety of brochures. The youth will be able to cool with Cool Stop snow cones, water slide fun with permission-signed waivers and sprinklers. The youth will have an opportunity to have pictures made at the photo corner. An evening meal of chili dogs, chips, and drinks will be served to all. Each youth member will have an opportunity to receive gift cards and certificates throughout the activities.

Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church

The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church family will be celebrating their pastor Dr. Raymond E. Mims Sr.’s 44th anniversary for pastoral leadership at the church. The Pastor’s Anniversary Service will be Sunday, July 24, at the church, which is located at 1104 Poplas St. in Bogalusa. The anniversary service time is 3 p.m. The anniversary guest speaker will be Pastor Bobby Showers Jr. of Community Missionary Baptist Church of Fluker. Please join them on this momentous occasion.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

Children’s Sunday School and Pastor Joe Arthur’s Adult Bible class each begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday service starts at 10:30 a.m. with Divine Worship celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday. New Bethel Church

Every week is full of activity at New Bethel Church, located at 737 Ave. F in Bogalusa. Monday at 6:30 p.m. is a Small Group Class on Prayer by Sister Mary. Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. is Wild Ones Youth Night. Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. is a Leadership and Prayer Meeting, and at 6:30 p.m. is Worship and Teaching. Thursday at 6:30 p.m. is Celebrate Recovery. Friday at 6 p.m. is Chosen Movie Night. Saturday at 6 p.m. is Karaoke Night, and Sunday at 11 a.m. is the Sunday Morning Service.

Seventh-day Adventist Church

The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay. We also have Bible study every Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
