Mike Roberts, 71, a resident of Magnolia, Miss., passed away on July 6, 2022. Visitation was held at Terry’s Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, July 9, from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. The Rev. LaVern Summerlin officiated. Burial was in the Alton Roberts Cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mike was born on July 2, 1951, in Magnolia, to Alton Roberts and Donis Vera Erwin Roberts. He was a member of Terry’s Creek Baptist Church. Mike had a deep love for his church. He and Rose found a family and home at Terry’s Creek, he looked forward to the time of fellowship with his church family and friends. Mike worked with Mr. Chris Sassone in the “woods.” He was a dedicated member of the team, and felt a great love for the “woods” and the people he worked with.

Mike and Rose loved life together. They spent many hours last week traveling to various places and enjoying food and time with each other. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Alton Wayne “Sug” Roberts, and a father figure to Mike, Joe “Red” Marshal.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Rose O’Chery Roberts; sons and daughters-in-law, Scotty Roberts and Tori of Osyka, Miss., and Corey Roberts and Holly Ann of Magnolia; his son-in-love, Tony “Tooshort” Marshal of Progress, Miss.; his sisters, Geraldine Smith of St. Louis, Mo., Dolly Freeman of McComb, Miss., and Donis Kay Pine of McComb; a granddaughter, Emalee Rose Roberts; step-grandchildren, Mikel Ann Montgomery and Kensley Montgomery; a special nephew, Ken Roberts; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
