Marvin Lowe, a native and resident of Franklinton, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Marvin was the fifth child born to Melton Lowe Sr. and Ada Hazel Lowe. Martin was loved by his family and everyone that knew him. He was a humble man with a kind spirit.

At an early age, Marvin was baptized at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted and faithful partner of 39 years, Dorothy Williams; a son, Vernon Lowe; seven siblings, Marvin (Doris) Lowe, Marry Ann Warren, Freddie Mae Lowe, James Floyd (Annette) Lowe, all of Franklinton, Alma (Fred) Brumfield and Ada Mildred Brumfield, both of New Orleans, and Lisa (the Rev. Keno) Spurlock of Baker; three grandchildren, Miyika, Briana and Jaheim Williams; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Lowe; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Demille Williams; and brothers, Melton Lowe Jr. and Joseph Lowe.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home chapel’s Franklinton location. Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. The Rev. Keno Spurlock will be officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
