Mt. Carmel Baptist Church

Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 841 E. Sixth St. in Bogalusa, will have its annual vacation Bible school next week. It begins Monday, June 20, through Friday, June 24, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The theme will be “Claim Your Crown” (2 Timothy 1:5-9). The school is boldly fulfilling the church’s purpose of leading others to Jesus. Classes will be available for pre-K to adults, plus fun activities. The Rev. Douglas E. Hart is pastor.

Briarwood Baptist Church

Vacation Bible school is planned at Briarwood Baptist Church, beginning Monday, June 20, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. each night through Friday, June 24. “Created! Designed! Empowered!” is the theme, with Bible lessons about God’s plans for our lives. The Rev. Eddie Hinson, pastor, said all children ages pre-K through sixth grade are welcome and invited to enjoy the lessons, fun times and other events. Supper will be provided. Briarwood Baptist Church is located on Louisiana Highway 62 in the Stateline community.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church

The St. Paul A.M.E. Church family would like for the public to join in celebrating the church’s annual “Women’s Day Program” on Sunday, June 26, at 3 p.m. The speaker for the event will be Sis. Fachinnia Miller of Union Chapel A.M.E. Church in Kentwood, under the leadership of the Rev. Gary Porter. Come have a good time and hear a word from the Lord.

Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church

Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church will be holding revival services June 27 through July 1. Services will be at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Elder Terry Robertson will be the guest evangelist. Elder Richard Magee, pastor, and the church invite everyone to attend.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

Growing, growing in God’s garden — on July 11, 13 and 15, from 9 a.m. to noon the young people at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church will be learning about all things plants in this summer’s vacation Bible school, and what it’s like to be planted into God’s family. They will learn three key Bible verses, do cool science experiments, have fun and play games, and more. Come one, come all, going into grades pre-K through sixth this fall.
