Ne’Colby Desmon O’Neal Thomas was born on May 1, 2001, to Sandra Thomas and Clyde Smith. He departed his life on May 19, 2022 — sadly before he even had a chance to begin living. Ne’Colby was a very special individual to all he met and encountered. He never, ever met a stranger. He was loved by everyone; and was the life of his family. Ne’Colby loved music and to dance and being around his family and friends.

Ne’Colby leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Sandra Thomas; his father, Clyde Smith; four sisters, Shondrika Thomas, Tytiana Crumedy, Clydecierra Smith and Clydedericca Smith; one brother, Clyde Smith Jr.; one nephew, Jordan Magee; two nieces, Alicia Thomas and Alaysia Thomas; seven aunts, Michella (Rickey) Gibson, Rachel (Kevin) Thomas, Latasha (Byron) Thomas, Tina (Whollie) Smith, Rachel Smith, Keisha Smith and Monique Peters; five uncles, Brian Thomas, Mark Thomas, Anthony Smith, Clyde Peters and Richard Gibson; one grandmother, Julie Smith; two grandfathers, Clyde Rayford and Sanders Hughes; 38 cousins; and numerous individuals who are very special and near and dear to his heart, including his counselor, Ms. Tammy May-Gray and Dionne (Derrick) Peters.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jessie Mae Thomas; three uncles, Richard Gibson, Mark Thomas and Anthony Smith; two great-grandmothers, Hattie Mae Thomas and Mary L. Rayford; and one great grandfather.

Drive-through visitation will be Friday, June 3, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bogalusa Cemetery.
