Lois Forbes Bailey, 68, a resident of the Hilltop Community, passed away Tuesday evening, May 24, 2022, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. She was a former longtime resident of Baton Rouge where she worked for many years in rental-property management at different locations around the LSU campus. Lois loved tending to the beautiful flower gardens at her home and making birdhouses and other crafts. She also enjoyed perch and bass fishing in the creeks, rivers and ponds throughout the area.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Rhonda Seal of Bogalusa; five grandchildren and a spouse, Shelby and Kyle Plaisance, Dawson Davis, David Davis, Kyleigh Davis and Kaleb Davis; sisters and a brother-in-law, Janice Forbes of Chauvin, and Pam and Keith Sumrall of Poplarville, Miss.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lavon Forbes, Ricky and Annette Forbes, all of the Hilltop Community, and Roger and Pam Forbes of Carriere, Miss.; sister-in-law, Elsie Forbes of the Hilltop Community; a special friend, Mike Lang; and also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bailey; parents, Harold Forbes and Ruby Seals Forbes; and brothers, Harold Forbes Jr. and Harold Leroy Forbes.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Sunday, May 29, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, with Eld. Everett Broome and Eld. Mark Hobgood officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dawson Davis, David Davis, Byron Forbes, Brett Forbes, Richie Forbes, Chris Forbes and Dalton Forbes.
