Mrs. Ramona June Lefeaux Stewart, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Mama June, as she was affectionately known, was born on October 15, 1933, in Maringouin.

She married Johnny Stewart on Aug. 27, 1949. Together they owned a dairy farm in Bogalusa, which operated from 1973 to 2005. She was a homemaker, and her home was always welcoming, filled with love and laughter.

She is survived by her children, Beverly Sheridan, John (Theresa) Stewart, Randy (Coleen) Stewart, Mary Jane (Gregory Sr.) Arlt and Brian (Angie) Stewart. Her grandchildren include Jamey (Tammy) Sheridan, Julie Anne Sheridan, Todd (Rachael) Stewart, Gil Stewart, Amy (Dusty) Blakeney, Paula (Jeff Ledet) Stewart, Randy (Sara) Stewart, Emily (Kevin) Adams, Dusty (Jenny) Stewart, Matt (Crystal) Stewart, Sara Stewart, Robert (Ashley) Little, Gregory (Erin) Arlt II, Justin Stewart, and Bailey Stewart. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Everette Stewart; her parents, Thomas Edwin and Lillian Gomez Lefeaux; brother, Charles (Eleanor) Lefeaux; and sisters, Nannie (Steve) Brown, Geraldine (Bob) Blanchard and Doris (Frank) Langlois. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, William “Bill” and Leona Williams Stewart; son-in-law, Edward Dawson “King” Sheridan; and infant grandchild, Leigh Anne Sheridan.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, May 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the rosary taking place at 6:30 p.m. Services will continue at Annunciation Catholic Church on Saturday, May 21, with visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. by Father Daniel Brouillette and Deacon Ed Kelley. Pallbearers will be Gregory Arlt II, Dusty Blakeney, Chad Sheridan, Dusty Stewart, Justin Stewart and Matt Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Little, Jamey Sheridan and Randy Stewart Jr.
