The next day was the 21-1 contest.

No. 16 Pine went 20-8 this season.

Pine had six seniors this year that included Cooper, Thomas, Miley, Sprehe, Aden Wiggins and Cam Brown.

“This was a great group of seniors who were completely bought in and knew what it took to win games and have fun while doing that,” Pine coach Blake Dillon said. “They were able to have some great accomplishments over their high school careers including winning district 2019, 2021 and 2022. Also winning a playoff round each of those years. The 2020 season was canceled due to Covid. These seniors worked hard everyday at practice and demanded the same work ethic from their younger teammates. They will truly be missed and remembered for being one of the best groups of Pine Raider baseball players that have come through our program and leave big shoes to fill.”

Top-seeded Rosepine (32-2) will play fifth-seeded Many (26-9) in the semifinals on May 11.
