Sis. Mary Jefferson Hills was born Feb. 9, 1934, to the late Francis Harris and the late Curtis Jefferson in Varnado. She departed this life peacefully at her home on April 29, 2022, in Angie.

She was married to Deacon Ben Hills for 45 years. Mrs. Hills was a member of Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles Galloway in Sandy Hook, Miss.

Sis. Mary Hills leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 45 years, Deacon Ben Hills; three god-children, April Spikes Walker, Quartez Walker and Desire Owens of Atlanta, Ga.; a favorite niece, Allison Aikens; special helpers, Sylvia Alexander, Eva Beavers, Mary Galloway and Janice Langley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, friends, and church family.

Drive-through viewing will be Thursday, May 5, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 6, at 11 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Galloway officiating. Interment will be at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Miss.
